BETTER LATE THAN NEVER
Shannon and Mike Manning actually visited Vallarta in February but once again, Old Phil forgot his camera so we had to wait for the Mannings to scan these photos to us.

They spent a day with Phil and Captain Miguel on the SOL and had better luck than most this month. Mike's Dorado is a beauty and it looks like he earned that Cerveza. Shannon is displaying her Bonito and she looks considerably warmer than her hubby.

CHARTER OF THE MONTH
This happy group from Canada had one of the best charters that March offered. Once again, Captain Miguel on the SOL showed his skill at finding the big ones when they are not so abundant. Chuck (in the straw hat) sent this photo and we thank him very much. The Sailfish is a beauty and they caught a total of 5 Dorado, one very good sized. Following this photo session, they did a final toast of Beer and Clamato juice (the Canadian National beverage it seems) then took their Dorado to their hotel to be prepared for dinner and assured us that it was well worth the fight. Miguel is sharpening his hooks for your next vacation, guys! Congratulations on your very successful charter on the SOL.

Warren Brouwer had a mission, a tough one. He was visiting with a large group of insurance people from all over the US and 8 of them wanted to fish but 40 of them wanted to eat. Fishing was not great and a toro and a bonito

their day on the STRIKE ONE and despite the slow fishing, Debbie, Stan, Mike, Jaye and Chuck (and another couple that did not sign Phil's book) were all sporting STRIKE ONE t-shirts at dinner and everyone seemed to enjoy the El Dorado Restaurant. 'Chief War Eagle' Warren enjoyed it for several days more, spent another afternoon and evening with Phil and then had lunch the following day and breakfast on the morning that he was leaving. Bravo El Dorado Restaurant. Warren is definitely going to be placed in Phil's charter 'Hall of Fame' for being such a great guy and new friend. Thanks Warren and we wish that the fishing had been better.
